Review: Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette VS Sephora Buildable Cover
So this is basically a combined review of 2 different concealers. The first concealer is the Sonia Kashuk Concealer Palette. This is available at Target and comes with a medium shade, a light shade, a green shade for concealing redness, and a light powder. The price is very reasonable, around $10-12 US. I use my Bare Escentuals concealer brush with both concealers.
I really like this concealer! I usually combine the light and medium shades together to create a shade that blends in with my skin tone. It's a pretty thick concealer, so it gives good coverage and it lasts throughout the day. I love to use the green concealer to cover reddened areas such as blemishes and acne scars, and then use the other two concealers to cover the green. It's thick, but not to the point where it feels caked on.
The second concealer is the Sephora Buildable Cover Concealer in Medium. It comes in 3 shades, Light, Medium, and Tan. Because of the lack of shades available, I was hesitant at buying this concealer and seeing if it would blend in with my skin tone. Fortunately, it does. This concealer goes on as a cream and sets as a powder on your skin. I haven't really noticed it setting as a powder by itself, since I usually set my makeup with a finishing powder anyways. This concealer is also quite thick, but it goes on really smoothly, and I'm actually quite impressed with the medium to full coverage. It allows you to layer on the product, depending on what you want to conceal. It is $16 US and is available at Sephora.

Drugstore Haul!
Yay! I can now cross two things off my February Wishlist: NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils and Revlon ColorStay Foundation.
The NYX products were on sale this week at Save-On Foods, and the Revlon products were on sale at London Drugs. I got the Revlon Foundation in 200 Nude, which I hope is a good color for me. I decided on the color by matching it to the Almay foundation I currently use now. I also bought the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Skinlight.

Review: Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder in Creamy Natural
This mineral powder is talc-free, comes with a sifter lid and a mini kabuki brush. It is available at various drugstores; I bought mine at Superstore. The mini brush is not that great quality, it's very rough on my skin. I instead like to use my Body Shop kabuki brush with this powder.
When I was on vacation in Hawaii, I used this powder as a foundation instead of my usual liquid foundation. For one thing, it did a pretty decent job of acting as a foundation and staying put throughout the day. It did not melt off my face or make my face overly oily like a liquid foundation would. It felt light enough on my skin, yet still provided decent coverage.
Now that I am at home at a much colder temperature, I like to use this as a finishing powder over my liquid foundation to set everything. It really provides a flawless look to my skin. This is the first mineral powder that I have tried, and I'm curious to see how a more high-end mineral powder would compare.
The one thing that I didn't like about the packaging of this product is the sifter lid. When the top lid is closed, it covers the holes in the sifter so you really have to either loosen the top lid or shake really hard to get product to come out. There also isn't really a cap to apply the powder to the brush, unless you use the rounded cap on top.
Please leave a comment if you have any suggestions about other mineral powders to use. :)
